Do you ever have times where things just are not going as you planned? My work deals with the various forms of adversity I’ve faced throughout my life. Although very painful at times, I did not allow those challenges to hinder my progression. There were a lot of days I asked God “Why me?” In the midst of my storms, God gave me some very powerful solutions. It wasn’t until I surrendered my life into His hands that I realized the power of prayer. I learned that patience is a fruit of the Spirit and is only developed in trials (see Galatians 5:22). I had to get real with God. I started to trust, accept and rely on God, not me. I had to allow myself to draw into a deeper relationship with Him. God wants all of us to put Him first in our lives.
The definition of faith according to Merriam-Webster is the ‘strong belief or trust in someone or something; belief in the existence of God: strong religious feelings or belief’. Because we can’t see God or place our hands on Him – we question His existence. Jeremiah 29:13 reads “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with your heart”. I pray everyone that reads my books sees through the obstacles I faced and overcame throughout my childhood into adulthood that God does exist. I hope they find reasons to want to know Him.
The only way to really hear from God and have total confidence in Him is to make a habit of studying His word. It’s the best way to hear from Him and know how He wants us to live. That is the only place where one is able to find the answers to some of life’s toughest questions. The Word of God is food for our spirit. It gives us wisdom and it renews our mind (Romans 12:2). I pray the words from my story causes someone to place their confidence in God and trust Him, all the time, in every aspect of their life.

The Stage is a true depiction of life’s encounters from a
man’s point of view. It takes you through a time where even a child
didn’t have a voice or a choice, forced to enter a man’s world.
The Stage is a slow stroll down memory lane with a man who
was given no choice but to accept the path God so chose for him to
walk. It is the voice of reason in the midst of trouble; it is not
understanding the cards in the game of everyday life.
The Stage is not understanding a mother’s choice to drop her
kids off at the police station with a note; it is growing closer to God
because that’s all you have. It is the love between grandchildren and
a “grandmother” raising her daughter’s children.
The Stage is from the Soul 2 Mic. It is finding God in the
middle of the night during a weep when no one is available to answer
your call. It’s knowing God has your back as we are sometimes
forced to Grow and Let him have his will in our lives.
The Stage is the truth behind what many of us may never get
to experience but “live” through the Life of a man who trusted in God
and was “delivered” by just waiting, letting God have his way.
